Avril graduated in 2003 with an honours degree in Law and joined Hewitt & Gilpin later that year. She was awarded her professional qualification with distinction by the Institute of Professional Legal Studies of Queenâ€™s University and admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Northern Ireland in 2005.
Since qualification Avril has been based in the Private Client department. She has extensive experience in all residential property matters in acting for private clients, social landlords, investors and lenders. She also acts for a number of substantial private residential developers in development site acquisition and unit sales.
Avril advises clients in drafting Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney and advising in other related matters. She also deals with the registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney, and in making Controllership applications to the Office of Care and Protection of the High Court.
Avril also advises on separation agreements, divorce and ancillary relief and is pleased to be of assistance to clients through the process.
